Minsu Longiaru

Minsu Longiaru is a Legal Director at Local Progress, a movement of local elected officials advancing a racial and economic justice agenda through all levels of local government.  She provides legal, policy, research and strategy support to local elected officials around the country on a variety of issues, such as immigrant justice, economic justice and worker power, reimagining public safety, home rule and local democracy, and advancing housing justice for all.  Minsu has over twenty years of experience providing wide-ranging support to movements, community-based groups, and organizers.  This includes work in local and national workers centers and community-based organizations, in a union-side law firm, and in state government.  She also currently serves as an affiliate with Data & Society, and previously served as a Skadden fellow and a Fulbright Garcia-Robles fellow.  She holds a BA and JD from Harvard University.
