Legal Empowerment Network

Last month, GLOW attended and presented at the Legal Empowerment Network Convening, a project housed at NYU School of Law’s Bernstein Institute of Human Rights.

We gathered with over 100+ organizers, movement lawyers, and community members over three days to share strategies and tactics to redefine justice and spread legal empowerment throughout our communities.

GLOW co-presented a workshop on empowering non-traditional workers with Africa-based worker center WIEGO. We shared train-the-trainer models, law and organizing strategies and different tactics for empowering temp, gig, domestic & other non-traditional workers to know, share and enforce their rights.

GLOW has been a part of the Legal Empowerment Network since its first U.S. gathering in 2023 and we’re grateful to continue growing and learning in this space.
